Now this might look like a very ordinary picture to most people, but to me, this photo represents everything. This was the first photo I took in front of my first house that I bought in Southern California for over $1 million, something I only dreamed of and never even believed was possible. I grew up in a single mother household, living paycheck to paycheck, and facing evictions and getting food from the food pantry. Neither of my parents ever owned a home, nor did they ever graduate college. So to say that I would have purchased a home in Southern California for over $1,000,000 before I turned 30 years old seemed quite out of the picture right? Right. I always struggled with money and even began maxing out my credit cards, taking out loans, and just doing all the wrong things. My bank balance was constantly going negative so I would have to pay overdraft fees, my credit cards were maxed out, and I just sucked with money. I remember feeling like I was "drowning" financially. I didn't know any better. That was before I started making money on YouTube and investing my money instead of spending it! Learning how to invest my money completely changed my life! It's best and easiest way to make passive income and grow your net worth. For years I worked multiple minimum wage jobs, drove for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Starbucks, Nike, I even sold knives at people's homes for Cutco! I worked in a liquor store, a book store, a restaurant, a middle school as a campus supervisor, I even played music outside busking for tips. I bought and sold surfboards, collected cans and bottles to make money recycling, made and sold hand made bracelets, - I'm probably missing about 10 jobs. I did everything I could to try to make it, but I was just a horrible employee and I was horrible at money. To be honest, I never wanted to be an employee and I hated working for someone else. I always dreamed of being able to work for myself and own my own business. But it seemed impossible. When I began focusing on investing is when things really changed for me. I paid off my credit cards, paid off my car loan, and began saving money and investing. A couple years later, I bought my house and my dream car. I have already began investing and saving for retirement, building up my cash position, and now saving up to buy my first rental property! The craziest thing is that since buying the house, it's now worth over $1.6 million. And my investments are growing every day. Now I see why wealthy people put their money into real estate and stocks.

Now before you say that my parents helped me or some rich relative, it's not true at all. I never got any money from my parents, family members or anyone. I did it all myself and grew my negative bank to a number I've only ever dreamt of. I wanted to give you a little backstory to explain the power of making money through investing because it's quite unbelievable. I'm even getting emotional typing this all out because I don't often reflect on it but it really has changed my life. ​

If you know me, you'll know that I'm the absolute last person to flex or show off or brag, so it's kind of funny for me to post this photo but this is shortly after I bought my dream car, which is a Mercedes G 63 AMG. Again, I am definitely not posting to brag about this, but I think it's fitting just to show you the possibilities that come from doing social media and running a business. It was my dream car and I used money I made from investing to buy it. It costed me over $100,000. Yes, it was a huge tax write off, but that's one of the benefits of owning a business. I bought it as a company car so I was able to write off the entire thing. And since it weighs a ridiculous amount, it was able to qualify for Section 179, which means it was a full write off in the first year. If that doesn't make any sense, don't worry, it's not important. ​​
What's important is that never in a million years did I think I was going to be driving around in a G Wagon. Just a couple years ago I was driving a 2008 Hyundai Accent with no air conditioning and a huge dent in the hood because I couldn't even afford to have full coverage insurance and I couldn't pay to fix it. But don't worry, after 2 years I sold the Mercedes and now drive something a lot more frugal and probably more in line with my personality. It's a 2011 Ford Escape that I bought on Facebook Marketplace in cash. I realized that I'd rather invest my money than spend it on material items. You live and learn! But, it really shows you just the type of difference my life became after just a couple years. And I know this can be the case for anyone who has the willpower and work ethic.
